Real-Time Communication with Spirits

Is it possible to invent a device that records and after a second or two, plays the evp its picks up? Could one take a regular tape recorder and next to the recording head, insert a play head so that there is only a few seconds delay from the time that the evp is recorded, then is audibly played back to you? This would save time that it takes to stop and rewind the picked up voice or sound. Voice activation might have to go out the window on this device. You ask, listen for evp, if there is nothing, then ask something else until sound is picked up. You would need multidirectional microphones and, like I said, a modded tape recorder. If I knew more about how to modify an existing device I would create this for the use of the paranormal community, and it would be simple for someone that has that know-how, I imagine. I would give this idea to anyone that could make it happen willingly. No strings.
